The product adequately performs simple media remote functions, but those who owned a PS3 must not expect the same levels of functionality that came with the PS3 media remote. For comparison, the PS5 media remote has 20 buttons of which 4 are dedicated to start the YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, & Disney+ apps, the latter not even available in South Africa. The PS3 media remote had 51 buttons, and none dedicated to specific apps. With PS5 controllers being rather heavy on battery charge, the media remote is however worth getting to alleviate this problem. The AA-batteries used by the latter last for weeks even under daily use conditions.

This product allows for much needed convenience, if you plan on using the PS5 for Media. You can turn the TV ON and manage the volume of the TV with this media remote. It controls the entire media hub from one device which is great! This product was delivered in 24-hours from the date of purchase which is extremely fast!

Great remote. I use the PlayStation as a media center too and to use this remote makes it so easy. It also syncs with your tv so you can change tv volume and turn off/on the tv. Very handy remote if you're planning on using the PS5 for media as well. Clones the TV's normal remote so only the PS remote is required to control the TV as well as the media on the PS5. Would definitely recommend this to people who use there console to view Netflix, Youtube, Prime etc on a regular basis.
