About Us
KOODOO is our ecommerce channel with the core focus of bringing the world’s leading gaming entertainment content and products to our loyal customers with an amazing experience from the moment you arrive on the website and place an order to when it arrives at your door.
KOODOO, the online retail face was born out of Gamefinity (Pty) Ltd and Filmfinity (Pty) Ltd, and is the natural next step in the evolution of the Gamefinity (Pty) Ltd and Filmfinity (Pty) Ltd organizations as they strive to bring customers a rich and pervasive offering of both new and existing content and products in the home entertainment space.
Gamefinity and Filmfinity, formerly known as SterKinekor Entertainment whilst still in the Primedia (Pty) Ltd Group, were founded in mid-2018 when in that period Primedia sold off non-core media assets.
The Koodoo team has many years of experience in gaming and filmed entertainment content, and always strives to fulfil the needs of our customers. This team have strong and valued relationships with most of our key partners and principals, most of which have spanned across two decades such as Sony Pictures Releasing International, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe and The Walt Disney Company.
Beyond those listed above some of the brands we represent in the gaming entertainment space include Warner Bros Gaming, Bethesda, Konami, Techland, Milestone, Capcom, SEGA, and Nacon.
Beyond this KOODOO through our umbrella organisation, Gamefinity, is the sole distributor of Sony PlayStation consoles and peripherals, South Africa’s top selling consoles since the launch of console gaming in the early 1990’s.
Outside of gaming entertainment space, our portfolio includes multiple independent film distributors such Lionsgate, Voltage Pictures, Sierra Affinity and Filmnation.
KOODOO is constantly sourcing new and innovative products and we will continue to make these available for our customers to enjoy with the knowledge that these will be the best products from leading brands.
