KOODOO City QR Treasure Hunt – Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

This competition is run by KOODOO (the “Promoter”).

2. Competition Period

The KOODOO City QR Treasure Hunt runs from 15 March 2026 to 5 April 2026.
The Promoter reserves the right to end the competition earlier should all prize allocations be redeemed before the closing date.

3. Eligibility

The competition is open to residents of South Africa only.

Participants must be 18 years or older.

Employees of KOODOO, its affiliates, agencies, or immediate family members may not participate.

Participation is free, excluding standard data costs.

4. How to Participate

Participants must locate hidden QR codes placed around the following cities:

Johannesburg
Pretoria
Cape Town
Durban

Each QR code links to a sign-up page where participants must provide:

Name
Email address
City selection

After completing the form, participants will qualify for a Gem reward based on the tier of the QR code scanned.

Participants must ensure that their selected city is accurate and corresponds to the location where the QR code was scanned. Failure to provide a valid or correct city will result in forfeiture of any allocated rewards.

5. Reward Tiers

Each QR code belongs to a reward tier:

Rewards will be allocated according to the tier of the QR code scanned.

6. Redemption Limits

QR codes have limited redemption quantities.

Once a QR code reaches its scan limit, it becomes inactive and cannot be redeemed further.

Participants may redeem each tier only once during the campaign.

Rewards are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

7. Prize Allocation

Gems will be allocated manually after submission verification.

Participants should allow up to 48 hours for Gems to reflect on their account.

KOODOO reserves the right to verify submissions before allocating rewards.

8. Fraud and Disqualification

KOODOO reserves the right to disqualify participants who:

Attempt to exploit or manipulate the competition
Use automated tools, scripts, or fraudulent methods
Submit false or misleading information, including incorrect city selection

Failure to provide accurate participation details, including city selection, may result in reward forfeiture and account suspension.

9. Liability

The Promoter is not responsible for:

Lost, delayed, or incomplete submissions
QR codes that are removed, damaged, or inaccessible
Technical issues affecting participation

Participants take part in the treasure hunt at their own risk and should follow public safety rules and laws.

10. Data Usage

By entering the competition, participants consent to KOODOO using their submitted information for:

Competition administration
Prize allocation
Marketing communications (where consent is given)

Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection laws (POPIA).

11. Changes to the Competition

KOODOO reserves the right to:

Modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary
Change prize allocations or QR placements if required due to operational reasons

12. Acceptance of Terms

Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
