The Game Awards 2023

As the year draws to a close, the gaming community is buzzing with anticipation for this epic celebration of gaming excellence. Hosted by the one and only Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards is set to be a night to remember, showcasing the incredible creativity and innovation that continue to push the boundaries of gaming.

This year's awards ceremony is shaping up to be one for the books. We're talking about a diverse lineup of nominees, spanning from established franchises to fresh-faced newcomers.

The nominees for Game of the Year were:

Alan Wake 2
Baldur's Gate 3
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Resident Evil 4
Super Mario Bros. Wonder
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

But that's not all! The Game Awards is also notorious for its mind-blowing reveals. Get ready for a barrage of world premiere trailers, gameplay demos, and exclusive announcements that will leave your jaw on the floor. These sneak peeks will undoubtedly set the hype train in motion, giving us a taste of the incredible gaming experiences that await us in the future.

And let's not forget the inspiration. The Game Awards is always a platform for aspiring game creators to witness the recognition and acclaim showered upon those who push the boundaries of this medium. It's a powerful motivator for budding developers, encouraging them to dream big and contribute their own unique talents to the ever-evolving gaming landscape.

As you can see, this was a stacked year for Game of the Year. All of these games were fantastic, and it was really hard to choose just one winner.
Spider-Man 2 vs. Resident Evil 4

Two of the most talked-about games of the year were Spider-Man 2 and Resident Evil 4. Both of these games were sequels to beloved franchises, and they both delivered on their promises.

Spider-Man 2 was a worthy successor to the first game, with even better graphics, gameplay, and story. It was a truly amazing game that pushed the PS5 to its limits.

Resident Evil 4 was a reimagining of the classic 2005 game, and it was a masterclass in horror. It was a terrifying and suspenseful game that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
KOODOO Seal of approval

We're giving both Spider-Man 2 and Resident Evil 4 the KOODOO Seal of Approval. These two games were the best of the best in 2023, and I constantly recommend them.

Let's get hyped, gamers! The future of gaming is looking brighter than ever.
