Mortal Kombat 1(MK1) is the latest reboot of the iconic fighting game franchise that started in 1992. NetherRealm says that Mortal Kombat 1 will feature a new fighting system, game modes, bone-crushing finishing moves, and more.
Before we get our hands on the game on the 19th September, gamers get an opportunity to play an exclusive beta on the 18-21 August. To get access to the beta all you need to do is pre-order a copy of MK1.
There are three different versions of MK1 available for purchase. These are the: Standard Edition, Premium Edition and Kollectors Edition. Pre-ordering any of these editions for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S will grant you access to the pre-order beta. Unfortunately, the beta is not available for Nintendo Switch and PC.
To redeem the beta code, log in to your Warner Bros account, select redeem code, and follow the on-screen prompts. A code will then be sent to you. It is this secondary code that is used to access the beta on your respective console. These codes can be redeemed from the 15th of August.
Do note that an internet connection is required to redeem and participate in the MK1 beta.
You may be wondering what gameplay is available in the beta. Warner Bros have confirmed that there will be a 1v1 online multi player and a limited single player Klassic Towers mode against AI opponents.
If you have not pre-ordered your copy of MK1 yet, act fast to ensure you get access to the beta.
Pre-orders are live now on KOODOO.co.za.
