Sony has officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro, offering a mid-generation upgrade to the PS5.
PS5 Pro Specs and Upgrades
The PS5 Pro brings serious power upgrades, including 67% more Compute Units, 28% faster memory, and 45% faster rendering, resulting in smoother frame rates and sharper visuals. It also introduces PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, AI upscaling technology similar to Nvidia’s DLSS, for enhanced gameplay without taxing the system.
The console features a 2TB SSD, more storage than the original PS5, making additional upgrades less necessary right out of the box.
Pricing and Backward Compatibility
The PS5 Pro will be fully backward compatible with PS5 and PS4 games, meaning no need to upgrade your library or accessories.
Enhanced Games and Pre-Orders
Games like Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Gran Turismo 7, The Last of Us Part 2, and more will receive PS5 Pro enhancements, with more titles expected to follow.
