Marvel’s Wolverine Has Finally Shown Its Claws

…and if the trailer is anything to go by, this is going to be one of the biggest PlayStation releases to watch. Logan is bringing a brutal, cinematic and action-packed experience to PS5.

Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, Marvel’s Wolverine is a single-player action-adventure that follows James “Logan” Howlett as he tracks down a group of captured mutants. His mission brings him face-to-face with dangerous enemies, including the Reavers, a cybernetic militia working for Bolivar Trask.

And yes, the gameplay looks savage. It reveals fast and aggressive combat, with Logan using his claws, strength and rage to tear through enemies. Logan can strike from above and use powerful combat Techniques like Tornado Spin and Bull Rush.

Logan’s Rage builds, unlocking stronger attacks and letting him activate his Healing Factor when things get messy. Push him far enough, and he unleashes a stylised Rage state inspired by Marvel Comics’ Black, White & Blood series.

The trailer also shows major set-piece action, including a highway sequence where Logan takes the fight across trucks, motorcycles, and enemy vehicles. It is fast, violent, cinematic, and very Wolverine.

Pre-orders are now available, with bonuses including the Classic Brown Suit, Reflective Claws, an additional Technique Point, and PlayStation Avatars. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds exclusive suits, claws, and more Technique Points.
