Rumours turn to truth.
Sunset fades to black.
And on the horizon, a red dawn burns bright.

It has happened, PlayStation have dropped two new DualSense controllers, and we absolutely love them!

The much-anticipated news was announced today by Isabelle Tomatis (Senior Director PSVR, eSports, Peripherals Marketing and Licensing, SIE) on the PlayStation Blog.

The new DualSense controllers will officially be known as Midnight Black and Cosmic Red. Far-out names for a far-out console. We really do love everything about these controllers and cannot wait to get our hands on them, keep an eye on the KOODOO YouTube page for our exclusive review!

When searching for inspiration for the new DualSense controllers, the skies above answered. Designer Leo Cardoso states that “we designed the colours around the theme of ‘galaxy’ as it felt like a natural progression from the original PS5 and accessories designs.”

Interestingly, and something that I never noticed, is that there is a subtle blue hue that runs through all controllers. Satashi Aoyagi explains “Both Midnight Black and Cosmic Red feature a subtle blue hue, that produces unique shades of red and black. A blue hue is also present in the original DualSense wireless controller colours, so all three colours complement each other nicely. The controller’s button colours and detailing has been tailored to complement the new colours as well.”

The two new DualSense controllers will be available next month, and yes KOODOO will have both.

I for one, welcome the new controllers. I love you Glacier white, but we all shouted, and the heavens have answered.

PlayStation have given us two beautiful new controllers, which one will you be getting first?
