The Last of Us Part I
This isn’t even my final form!
The Last of Us is back, in what most likely, is its final form.
A complete rework by studio Naughty Dog is planned for this remake.
Yes, this is being labelled a remake, not a remaster, we have already seen one of those for the PS4.
This remake will take advantage of not only the PlayStation 5’s power, but also the team at Naughty Dogs lessons learnt from developing The Last of Us Part II.
The Last of Us Part I will see full DualSense support, adaptive triggers and haptic feedback enabled. It will take advantage of the next gen power at its disposable with full 3D audio and 60FPS. Naughty dog has confirmed that this is more than just a visual upgrade. The Last of Us Part I will feature modernised gameplay, improved controls, brand new AI, reworked combat, and expanded accessibility options. The game will remain a single-player experience (Naughty Dog are working on a Multiplayer game set in the Last of Us universe).
The Last of Us Part I and its prequel story Left Behind will be available for PS5 exclusively at launch, with a PC version coming soon!
Launch date is confirmed for September 2nd, 2022.
